ECIS commissions specialised research projects on a range of topics relevant to leadership and leadership development in international education. These may vary from in-depth applied research projects to literature reviews, think pieces and toolkits.
We publish research outputs in various formats, including niche monographs that provide leadership for the sector.
Our occasional white paper series presents findings from investigations in areas of core concern to education professionals, academic leaders, and trustees and governors. These are evidence based and topical, covering issues such as transition, leadership, assessment, business models, and international partnerships. By design, they are short and sharp explorations of some of the new and emerging issues relevant to international education today.
The key aims of our commissioned research are to support educational practice, leadership, and leadership development in international education; to address clearly identifiable needs in the sector; to be of practical use to our members and practitioners in the international education sector; and to inform the development activities offered by ECIS.
