"The principles highlighted in the ECIS safeguarding courses are universally applicable, no matter the location of the school."

PROTECTING THE STUDENTS IN OUR CARE

Protecting the children in our care is our most important job; learning itself depends on a child feeling safe. ECIS safeguarding courses set the benchmark for quality training for international schools.

Aligned to the enhanced Child Protection Standards as developed by the International Task Force on Child Protection, of which ECIS is a core member, we offer three online courses for three distinct audiences: support staff, teachers and leaders, and governors and owners. Your entire staff, leadership, and governing body will benefit from expert knowledge so that your school can meet compliance standards for accreditation or inspection. Click here to identify which accreditation and inspection agencies have adopted the enhanced Child Protection Standards.

These courses help to equip you with the skills you need to act appropriately and confidently, to protect the children you work with. The courses also acknowledge that child protection procedures are heavily influenced by the legal and cultural contexts in which schools operate, and can differ widely among regions and cultures. They draw on key principles and a set of best practices that are of universal application, which can be implemented in any region, regardless of the applicable jurisdiction or culture of your school.

Each of the three courses addresses similar topics, but in a fashion designed for each audience. Included is a case study to provide a sense of context when applying the learnings, as captured in assessments for each course.

Contact us at learning@ecis.org to discuss which course(s) your school would like to enrol in.
