How well are you and your school recognising your place in the world, cognisant of your own context yet not bound by it? How do you work to create an internationally-minded culture that informs your school ethos as well as your own teaching and/or leadership?
At ECIS, we believe that increased global understanding and engagement is an imperative in schools today, as we seek a better understanding of our world and an appreciation of each other, so that we create impact and opportunity for current and subsequent generations. Enter the ECIS International Mindedness course. Designed to help you develop your own international mindedness and to influence the development of international mindedness in your school, this course takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to complete, and culminates in an assessment aimed at helping you take stock of strengths and opportunities for growth, as you and your school move forward. A certificate is issued upon completion.
Result: you will have a better understanding of international mindedness as a concept, and how it manifests itself in a school context, supported by a simple yet trusted scaffolding for further development. We owe it to the global citizens we are educating, as much as we owe it to our own growth and development as teachers and leaders who strive constantly to cultivate our own global competences.
