ECIS Physical Education Special Interest Group Conference 2022 | 25-27 May
Frankfurt International School
REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
Unite with us in movement at Frankfurt International School in Oberursel, Germany as we return to essential in-person professional development at our ECIS PE Conference. Our theme of United in Movement will allow us to explore crucial topics including:
Diversity: Who belongs to our PE classes? Is our teaching meeting their needs?
Equity: Who wishes to join our PE classes but cannot gain access?
Inclusion: Have everyone’s ideas been heard? Are we seeking out ideas that are representative of all students?
Growth and Learning in PE During the Pandemic: What have we learned through the challenges of the pandemic? What should we incorporate in our lessons? How do we best address students’ social, mental and physical needs? As educators, are we addressing our own social, mental and physical needs?
For our United in Movement conference, we have gathered a group of accomplished speakers with a wide range of expertise to address these topics and to help us reflect on the challenges many have and continue to face, such as the social, emotional, mental health impact of the pandemic. In addition, we wish to celebrate and learn from the resilience and resourcefulness we have all shown, in order to adapt and continue to enrich the lives of our students.
This conference seeks to go beyond our shared experiences, to what lies at the heart of each of our lessons – our students’ individual experiences. In true ECIS PE style, we aim to learn from each other to find out how we ensure diversity, inclusion and equity, how we personalize education, and ultimately, how we teach and reach all students.
