This workshop will help support and complement the work of schools in the area of child protection. By articulating the comprehensive nature of child protection and helping participants identify possible areas for growth, we hope that this workshop will inspire and guide participants on their next steps in child protection. Participants who seek to implement a comprehensive child protection program at their international school will benefit from this presentation.
About the facilitator
Ian D. Russell was raised internationally, in the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Belgium; attending Boarding School while his father worked in Riyadh as an Educator. Ian took this torch and worked in education internationally in Saudi Arabia, China, Kuwait, Thailand, The Dominican Republic, and Dallas. Ian completed his undergraduate degree in Sociology and Education at Whitworth University, completed his Masters at Plymouth State in Leadership and Supervision and then completed his Doctorate at Sarasota University. He has been a teacher and school administrator at most levels of education. Ian has been presenting and supporting ICMEC for the last two years and is currently the Head of School at St. Michael’s School in the Dominican Republic.
