Embracing Crisis as a Catalyst for Change: A Fireside Chat with Executive Director Kam Chohan and Dr Kynan Robinson.
After nearly a year living and teaching through a global pandemic, we all have a new appreciation for what it means to survive a major crisis. But we also have an opportunity to embrace a new understanding of “crisis” as an invitation for change.
Certainly, we all learned a lot about ourselves, our schools and how we need to change to meet the needs of our students, not only in the time of Covid but for the 21st Century. The decisions we tabled, the needs we deprioritised, all came into stark relief when suddenly, the world changed—a crisis emerged. The Greek language gave us the word crisis, but at its root, crisis means, “decision.” With a new year comes renewed optimism and a fresh opportunity to make bigger, better decisions about our schools, how we teach and how we view the classroom.
Please join ECIS Executive Director Kam Chohan for an engaging and thought-provoking virtual fireside chat with renowned pedagogical expert Dr Kynan Robinson, founder and CEO of the consultancy EnRusk, about how to translate this global crisis into the best decisions you can make as you lead your schools out of the Pandemic and into the 21st Century.
