ECIS/ICMEC 3-part webinars on Keeping Children Safe in Education: Peer on Peer abuse: the importance of changing school culture
10 March, 15:00 GMT
The way in which schools handle the different incidents of peer-on-peer abuse and sexual behavior, including the sharing of intimate images, can directly affects the culture of the school. If handled poorly, an unsafe and unhealthy set of norms can be created which enable peer-on-peer abuse and this can also prevent other children and young people from disclosing. In this session we will navigate the complexities of handling peer on peer abuse and how we can make our school culture healthier and safer. Facilitated by: Debbie Downes Accreditation and Child Protection Lead at Quality Schools International.
