In a world of such rapid growth in international education, ECIS believes strongly in promoting ethical standards for international schools.
We are currently developing standards that identify sector-wide ethical practice and behaviour in order to ensure that our sector is a respected voice in education around the world. In other words, it is about being ‘fit to practise.’
When we say ‘fit to practise’, we mean that any individual in international education (owners, trustees/governors, heads, teachers, staff, and so on) should possess the skills, knowledge, and character they need to practise the profession that we call international education safely and effectively, in ways that respect the dignity of all involved.
We invite you to learn more about the different ways in which we are moving to act as the ethical voice for international education.
