He holds bachelor’s degrees in French and German and a Master’s in Comparative Literature, all from the Pennsylvania State University; a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Rutgers University; and two executive certificates from Stanford University in Advanced Project Management and Strategic Decision & Risk Management.
Arup joined ECIS in Summer 2017 as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this he spent his career in the media and digital sectors, holding roles including Head of Digital Operations for a major listed news organisation, where he also launched the UK's largest network of mobile news apps. Arup trained as a newspaper journalist, and worked on local papers as well as on the national Daily Mail title in the UK, before working for charities such as Oxfam GB in national and international media, public relations, and advocacy roles.
Arup was also the founder and lead of a number of innovative publishing and digital initiatives, including a collaborative content site which gained high profile support and media coverage around the world. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Sussex and a MBA from Warwick Business School.
Alex spent the first 10 years of her career in broadcasting, working across sales and acquisitions for the likes of Sky and NBC Universal. When she moved out of London she joined a small creative agency as an Account Director, and ECIS were one of her first clients. Alex managed the ECIS account for two years, before joining the team as Head of Membership in 2017.
Alex brings a wealth of experience to ECIS and leads our membership team, building relationships, marketing, planning, and researching how to continually offer valuable new services and products to our members. Her organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to forge new business partnerships has resulted in many new schools from around the world joining the ECIS family.
Alex's other major passions in life include music and singing, and she regularly performs with her local choir.
After working as a pharmacy assistant, Caroline began her ECIS career as part of the Teacher Placements team and spent a year with CIS (Council of International Schools), until the lure of working on ECIS conferences became too much, and she returned to the ECIS fold as an Events Assistant.
During her time at ECIS, Caroline has enjoyed various roles such as Teacher Placements Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant, Office Manager and is currently the Membership Manager. In her spare time, Caroline enjoys theatre, yoga, boxing and going to the gym.
Dawn has a varied background, and has worked in schools and Learning and Development for many years. She is passionate about education and self-development and has been involved in expanding the Education Programmes department at ECIS from two courses to a larger portfolio consisting of face to face, online and blended learning.
Dawn still loves being creative and enjoys yoga in her spare time.
