Global Issues Network

The Global Issues Network was created by educators from ECIS member schools in 2003, based upon Jean-François Rischard’s High Noon: Twenty Global Problems, Twenty Years to Solve Them.
International schools already form a close global network and share a focus upon global citizenship. They are therefore an excellent platform for applying Mr Rischard’s concepts. The Global Issues Network calls upon schools to prepare students for the future by encouraging contemporary awareness, collaboration, and action.  GIN initiatives include on-the-ground projects, student conferences, an ongoing electronic Town Meeting, curriculum development, partnership with universities, and links with the private sector.
