Wendy holds a portfolio of activities that are an example to people, who wish to live a life of diverse experiences that make a difference and have meaning. From corporate employment to social entrepreneurship, Wendy bridges the gap between women and the economy which is a common thread in all of her endeavours.

Her first business was in Human Resources Development connecting management and employees. She optimized the performance of new employees to prepare them for successful careers and equip them to thrive in an environment that culturally marginalises people who are different.

In 1994 together with three other women Wendy founded the Women Investment Portfolio Holdings which was listed in 1999 on the Johannesburg Securities Exchange (de-listed March 2003). This initiative revolutionized the participation of women in the economic landscape of South Africa. It was the first women owned company to be listed and has contributed significantly towards women claiming their power and taking responsibility for their financial independence.

Wendy published her first book" Defining Moments" in 2002 (Experiences of Black Executives in South Africa's workplace). Also in 2002 she was responsible for another first in South Africa, the launch of a €13m (R120 million) private equity fund for women-owned enterprises.

Wendy is a recipient of many global and local awards for her leadership role.  She is featured regularly in the South African media as one of South Africa’s most powerful women.
